AI Resume Checker for Indian Recruiters

Why Indian recruiters check CVs for AI

Campus drives, walk-ins and job portals can bring hundreds of applications for a single role, and AI writing tools make it easy to produce polished CVs and cover letters in seconds. That is not wrong in itself: many candidates use AI to fix grammar or formatting. The problem is when the content itself, the achievements, projects and motivation, is generated rather than real.

An AI resume checker gives you a quick signal on which documents read as machine-written, so you know where to dig deeper in screening calls and interviews. See also the guide on AI hiring fraud warning signs.

What to check

Cover letters and SOPs

Long prose gives the most reliable result. This is where AI-written text is most common.

Resume summaries

The profile summary and project descriptions carry the most signal. Skill lists and dates carry little.

Written test answers

Take-home assignments and written screening answers. Paste them into the AI text detector.

Profile photos

A fair screening process

  1. Upload the CV or cover letter

Use the upload box above, or the AI resume and CV detector page.

  2. Read the score as a probability

A high AI probability means “ask more questions”, not “reject”. Short or very formal documents are harder to judge.

  3. Verify in the interview

Ask the candidate to walk through a project or achievement from the CV in their own words.

  4. Keep the process consistent

Apply the same rule to every candidate and record the outcome, not just the score.

Avoid unfair rejections

AI detectors are more likely to flag writing by people who write English as a second language (Liang et al. 2023), and resumes are often short and formulaic, which makes them harder to judge. Rejecting a candidate on a score alone can screen out genuine talent.

Use the result together with work samples, references and the interview. If your company has a policy on AI use in applications, publish it in the job post so candidates know what is expected.

Yes, through the ProofAI API. Your ATS or script sends each file and gets back AI and human probabilities.

No. Use the score to decide what to ask in the interview, and look at their work samples and references.

That is the employer’s decision. Many accept AI help with grammar and formatting but expect the content to be true and explainable. State your policy in the job post.

Files are used only to produce your result and are not saved by ProofAI; they are sent to the AI model providers listed in our privacy policy to analyse them. Signed-in users keep the score and verdict, not the file, in their history.
